OATH KEEPERS WILL MUSTER ON THE LEXINGTON GREEN, APRIL 19th, 2009 TO RENEW OUR OATHS TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION! JOIN US!

"Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But, if they want to have a war, let it begin here." Capt. John Parker, Lexington Company of the Middlesex County Brigade, Massachusetts Militia, April 19, 1775.

Special Announcement! Oath Keepers will muster on the Lexington Green, Lexington Massachusetts, this coming Sunday, April 19th, 2009, from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Oath Keepers has just been invited to participate in a special free rally on the Lexington Green this April 19, sponsored by Committees of Safety (founded by Walter Reddy and with Dr. Edwin Vieira as Honorary Chairman).

Committees of Safety has invited Oath Keepers' founder Stewart Rhodes to be one of four speakers at the event, and we are in turn inviting all of YOU to join us on the Lexington Green to celebrate "The shot heard around the world"- April 19, 1775, where the first fighting in the Revolutionary War occurred.

Other speakers will be Dr. Edwin Vieira - scholar on the history of the events leading up to the Revolution and also on the historic militia; Walter Reddy - Founder, Committees of Safety; and
Garrett Lear - The Patriot Pastor - who was born in Lexington, and who's ancestor stood at Lexington Green on April 19, 1775 and faced off British troops.

SPECIAL OATH REAFFIRMING AND SWEARING IN CEREMONY ON LEXINGTON GREEN.

On that day, on Lexington Green, on April 19, we Oath Keepers will read aloud our Declaration of Ten Orders We Will NOT Obey and will then reaffirm our oaths to defend the Constitution.

And, for those of you who have never taken the oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, here is your chance to do it on a special day, in a special place, on hallowed ground, in honor of the embattled farmers - Oath Keepers all - who stood and fought at Lexington and Concord on that day so long ago and then beat the hell out of the Regulars all the way back to Boston, along "Battle Road."

We can't imagine a more soul stirring experience than to stand in ranks, right there where those heroes stood, and mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor in defense of the liberty those men won for us and in defense of the Constitution.

Join us! Veterans, active duty, police, fire fighters, and dedicated patriots. We realize this is short notice, but if you can get there, please do join us for what will most assuredly be an electrifying experience you will never forget.

The official event will run from 12 noon to 3 pm, on Sunday, April 19 but Stewart Rhodes, Dave Freeman, Jim Ayala, and others within the national Oath Keepers organization will be there from Friday evening, all weekend, and part of Monday and you can expect that we will make full use of our time together in fellowship with our brothers in arms, whether it be in quiet contemplation on the Green or at Concord Bridge, walking along Battle Road, touring historic sights in Boston, or over some pints of Ale at a local historic tavern.

All are welcome. We would be honored to meet you and spend time with you.

SPECIAL FILMING OF THE EVENTS, OF OATH KEEPERS READING OF OUR DECLARATION, AND FILMING OF YOUR OATHS AND TESTIMONIALS.

We will bring several cameras and film crews and will be filming the entire ceremony, and will also be filming those Oath Keepers who are willing to take part in an outreach film project we are working on. Part of that project will include individual active duty, veterans, police, fire fighters, etc. reading off parts of the Declaration of Ten Orders We Will Not Obey and also reading off parts of the oath to defend the Constitution. All of that material will be compiled into a ten minute montage of all who participate, reading the Declaration and Oath, with each of you on film reading a few words or sentences each.

And we will also be filming the full, individual testimonials of those who are willing to give their own personal testimonials on video.

And all of those films will be used as part of our outreach efforts to active duty military, police, veterans, etc. and will be put online on Youtube, on the new, upcoming Oathkeepers.org website, and elsewhere on the web.

Oath Keepers ... Guardians of The Republic .... Honor Your Oaths .... Join Us on Lexington Green.

A Firefighter Honors his Oath: "In Peace, Firemen. If Invaded, Soldiers"

"In peace, firemen. If invaded, soldiers." Amen!

I am not, nor have I ever been a member of the military. I am not a law- enforcement officer. I am a firefighter. Under state law in California,
this also makes me a "special peace officer."

I took an oath, in March of
the year 2000, to "uphold and defend the Constitutions of the United States of America and the state of California against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same." This oath was administered by my department's governing board, and is legally binding.

I am not issued a weapon in my course of work, but I take my oath seriously.
I study the Founders of our nation, and the documents they produced. My wife and I are teaching this to our children. In our kitchen hangs a plaque that reads, "In peace, firemen. If invaded, soldiers." I hang it there because I believe in it. I view "invasion" to mean the deployment within the United States of any military or paramilitary force that bears the population hostile intent.

Thank you to those of you who have started and
championed this movement. This is much needed by this country. The question of "what will the military do" causes a great deal of anxiety in the general American population. It is good to see some who will not just follow orders. History and the Jewish population can tell us all we need to know about just following orders. Six million murders testify to the folly of just following orders.

I believe that the right to own modern weaponry is the cornerstone on which the rest of our rights exist. I own such weapons, and seek appropriate training for their use. I have found the "Appleseed Program" sponsored by the Revolutionary War Veteran's Association and believe they are very much in concert with you. They teach marksmanship, and the history of April 19th, 1775. You may find more information about them at:

http://www.appleseedinfo.org/index.htm

Again, thank you for making this public stand. Know that you are not alone, and are very much needed. I pray to our Lord God that we will never have to demonstrate our resolve.

Oath Keeper Testimonial of Navy Veteran and Merchant Marine Captain

To my Fellow American Oath Keepers and all of the elected Professional Politicians in Washington, D.C. and the Capitals of the several States:

I took the Oath of Enlistment to support and defend the Constitution back in 1966.

My family has been on this continent since the 1600's and we have had military men in every generation. [As far back as I can trace at least.]

I volunteered for the Navy and wanted to learn to navigate a ship across the trackless oceans and seas that comprise most of our beautiful blue planet. In bootcamp I was unmasked as mechanically inclined and the Navy decided that I was going to spend my time in the bowels of the ship as a boilerman. [Arrrgh !]

As fate would have it after the Navy I went into the Merchant Marine and spent 25 incident free years as a Licensed Master navigating the trackless waters. [28 years in total.] I was a mustang in the Merchant Marine. In the Merchant Marine we would say that I "came up through the hawse pipe."]

While the Navy and I did not see eye to eye when I raised my hand I really did mean what I said when I swore that I Will support and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
AND by inference support and defend my "country" and my "countrymen" and their rights as well. Personally "My Country" means the land and her people not necessarily her government or governmental institutions.

Some folks seem to have a problem with the stipulation that says that I [the oath taker] will obey the orders of the officers appointed over me.

===========

The Enlistment Oath:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear that I will support and
defend the Constitution of the
United States against all enemies, foreign and
domestic; that I will bear true faith and
allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the
orders of the President of the United States
and the orders of the officers appointed over me,
according to regulations and the Uniform
Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
(Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the
wording first adopted in 1789,
with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

================

Notice that part where it says "According to regulations and the UCMJ" ? Now I May be reading something into it But .... I don't think so. Doesn't it stand to reason that IF the order being given is in direct violation of the Constitution then it becomes "unlawful and void"? It seems so in my understanding. I do not see anything in the Oath that says I am to STOP THINKING - either for myself, my family, my unit, my country or my countrymen.

I know that some folks feel that any interaction with government of any kind is to be avoided and in my own way I agree BUT .... I really did mean my Oath. [to protect this "country" and her Constitution].

I would very much rather have the "correction" [the return to a Constitutional Republic (from the despotic Fascism we have now) ] happen nonviolently than to see my countrymen fighting each other in the streets.

Or God forbid, that my grown children or my toddler grandchildren should have to fight in the streets for their Liberty and God Given rights in my stead because I did not act.

Our shame as a nation of people who believe in Liberty and Freedom should be that our great-grand parents did not stand up to Lincoln, FDR and their ilk who gutted the Constitution while glibly lying to the population about their actual motives. FDR even wrote about his perfidy in detail. "On Our Way" is the name of the book he wrote.

In the Hope that a "show of hands" will stop the madness I will even suspend my desire for No Rulers of any kind and accept the original Constitutional Republic in place of this ridiculous mob-rule garbage (democracy) which is only face paint on a sow.

I want our Constitutional Republic back. I want our Liberties completely restored and Government greatly downsized. If a physical and violent confrontation cannot be avoided then I Am and always will be ready and willing to defend the Constitution and the God Given Rights it was written to preserve.

And I don't mean the "living document" version or the "just a GD piece of paper" version. I will defend the original version as written.

Towards that goal I am also supporting the Appleseed Project. http://appleseedinfo.org/

So .... what was the quote ?

From the founders themselves:

"We Pledge Our Lives, our Fortunes and our Sacred Honor."

Yep. I'll go that far as well.
