OATH KEEPERS WILL MUSTER ON THE LEXINGTON GREEN, APRIL 19th, 2009 TO RENEW OUR OATHS TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION! JOIN US!

"Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But, if they want to have a war, let it begin here." Capt. John Parker, Lexington Company of the Middlesex County Brigade, Massachusetts Militia, April 19, 1775.

Special Announcement! Oath Keepers will muster on the Lexington Green, Lexington Massachusetts, this coming Sunday, April 19th, 2009, from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Oath Keepers has just been invited to participate in a special free rally on the Lexington Green this April 19, sponsored by Committees of Safety (founded by Walter Reddy and with Dr. Edwin Vieira as Honorary Chairman).

Committees of Safety has invited Oath Keepers' founder Stewart Rhodes to be one of four speakers at the event, and we are in turn inviting all of YOU to join us on the Lexington Green to celebrate "The shot heard around the world"- April 19, 1775, where the first fighting in the Revolutionary War occurred.

Other speakers will be Dr. Edwin Vieira - scholar on the history of the events leading up to the Revolution and also on the historic militia; Walter Reddy - Founder, Committees of Safety; and
Garrett Lear - The Patriot Pastor - who was born in Lexington, and who's ancestor stood at Lexington Green on April 19, 1775 and faced off British troops.

SPECIAL OATH REAFFIRMING AND SWEARING IN CEREMONY ON LEXINGTON GREEN.

On that day, on Lexington Green, on April 19, we Oath Keepers will read aloud our Declaration of Ten Orders We Will NOT Obey and will then reaffirm our oaths to defend the Constitution.

And, for those of you who have never taken the oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, here is your chance to do it on a special day, in a special place, on hallowed ground, in honor of the embattled farmers - Oath Keepers all - who stood and fought at Lexington and Concord on that day so long ago and then beat the hell out of the Regulars all the way back to Boston, along "Battle Road."

We can't imagine a more soul stirring experience than to stand in ranks, right there where those heroes stood, and mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor in defense of the liberty those men won for us and in defense of the Constitution.

Join us! Veterans, active duty, police, fire fighters, and dedicated patriots. We realize this is short notice, but if you can get there, please do join us for what will most assuredly be an electrifying experience you will never forget.

The official event will run from 12 noon to 3 pm, on Sunday, April 19 but Stewart Rhodes, Dave Freeman, Jim Ayala, and others within the national Oath Keepers organization will be there from Friday evening, all weekend, and part of Monday and you can expect that we will make full use of our time together in fellowship with our brothers in arms, whether it be in quiet contemplation on the Green or at Concord Bridge, walking along Battle Road, touring historic sights in Boston, or over some pints of Ale at a local historic tavern.

All are welcome. We would be honored to meet you and spend time with you.

SPECIAL FILMING OF THE EVENTS, OF OATH KEEPERS READING OF OUR DECLARATION, AND FILMING OF YOUR OATHS AND TESTIMONIALS.

We will bring several cameras and film crews and will be filming the entire ceremony, and will also be filming those Oath Keepers who are willing to take part in an outreach film project we are working on. Part of that project will include individual active duty, veterans, police, fire fighters, etc. reading off parts of the Declaration of Ten Orders We Will Not Obey and also reading off parts of the oath to defend the Constitution. All of that material will be compiled into a ten minute montage of all who participate, reading the Declaration and Oath, with each of you on film reading a few words or sentences each.

And we will also be filming the full, individual testimonials of those who are willing to give their own personal testimonials on video.

And all of those films will be used as part of our outreach efforts to active duty military, police, veterans, etc. and will be put online on Youtube, on the new, upcoming Oathkeepers.org website, and elsewhere on the web.

Oath Keepers ... Guardians of The Republic .... Honor Your Oaths .... Join Us on Lexington Green.

Stewart and I had talked about meeting at Concord Bridge in 2010, so to me this event is a God send; I can't think of any place I'd rather be on April 19, 2009. As I posted in my testimonial: "It was a soulful experience to stand [on hallowed ground] at the foot of the Minuteman statue at Concord Bridge." What a privilege it was to examine the area where our brave brethren stood their ground against the British army regulars. You can almost hear: "The Shot Heard Round the World." It's a distinct honor for me to attend this momentous event in the company of my brother Oath Keepers. God bless America and protect the men and women who guard her citizens faithfully - 24/7

Would love to be there, but I'm unable to be. I will look into the Appleseed project, and will fly my Gadsden Flag that day

BTW, Crotalus is the genus name for the rattlesnakes, and I use it in reference to the "Don't Tread on Me" flags.

I wish I could be there... but I will be in Throop, New York teaching 27 shooters how to become Riflemen... and teaching them what happened that fateful day in 1775. I am an Appleseed Shoot Boss, and I thank you for the plug, and I thank you for your oaths. Consider me a civilian who knows well the value of America's fighting men and women as well as the value of the unorganized militia.

Those coming from out of state should know that Massachusetts' draconian gun laws make it a major felony to be caught in possession of a firearm without a Massachusetts firearms owner identification card or carry license. Minimum sentence of 18 months, without the possibility of parole or reduction of any kind. Maximum of 5 years.

http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/269-10.htm

Massachusetts does not recognize any other state's concealed carry permits. Non-residents may only legally possess firearms if hunting or at an NRA-sponsored event at a shooting range. There ARE temporary non-resident licenses, but I doubt they're easy to get.

For any of you who cannot make it to the Lexington Green muster, another option is to hold your own local muster, wherever you are, and reaffirm your oaths or take the oath for the first time. Several such local rallies are already being planned, such as by YeOldFurt in Gonzales Texas, I believe, and also one by Earl in Delaware.

Why not do one where you are, or if you are at an Appleseed, why not take five minutes to hold a short oath reaffirmation or swearing in ceremony on a break?

If you do so, please let us know the details of your plans and we will post it here on the blog for others to read.

And if you do hold a local ceremony, please try to get photos and/or video and send us a copy!

This was very short notice, but what we are now starting is a yearly tradition that we hope will go on forever.

God save the Republic,

Stewart Rhodes

I just want to say "Thank you" to each and everyone of you who have served this great nation of ours! I am just a Minnesota mom who is so endebted to all who have stood up to the forces of evil and defended our constitution. I am especially proud of you all now for continuing to defend our constitution from ALL threats foreign and domestic. May God bless you! LET FREEDOM RING!

CaptGooch said...

Thank You Minnesota Mom.

You can become one of us by standing tall on April 19th and swearing to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States from All enemies both foreign and domestic." and base that Oath upon whatever you hold as Most Sacred.

Spread the word, attend a Tea Party on the 15th and an Appleseed Shoot [RWVA.org] or a muster to take and keep the Oath on the 19th of April.

IF nothing else read all you can about [in as many different versions as you can find] April 19th, 1775 and the events of that most important of days.
Honor our forefathers and support the creation that they began on that day.
A Nation of Free People.

Truly let us .... LET FREEDOM RING !

Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship and Heritage Project. I just found out about all this today, so I have a few days to get the new out. But being in an FA unit I know there are alot of young and old men who take our constitutional pledge to our American's we defend very seriously.

I'm sure many of us will be there in spirit even though we can't be there physically due to family/work/drill/etc. Have fun and make extra T-shirts available online later :-)

I will be there! I am coming all the way from Washington DC to salute the men and women of the Oath Keepers and kick off the 2nd American Revolution, a hopefully bloodless revolution where we turn off the teevee, stand tall as Americans and demand the arrest, trial, and imprisonment of the organized crime families that have been ruining our great country.

I will be there supporting a "New, New Deal" with the military, police, and private military forces: A reward of 10% to be distributed equally among any military, police, FBI, BATF, Secret Service, or other protective units that capture the traitorous bankers, their agents, and allies which leads to a return of identifiable stolen funds to the US Treasury. We know who has stolen our money! Let's go get it and give some to the police, military, and private military who go and get it back for us!

Long live the Republic! There is a Constitutional revolution brewing in this country and its pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain.

Well, I can't make the Lexington ceremony, but, thanks to Stewart's dedication, I'll be reaffirming the oath I first took in 1972 (and I'm STILL in the Army, Guard now) at the Harvard, Mass Appleseed. I'll be instructing there, so, if you're planning on being at the Appleseed, you can STILL swear your oath.

To all Patriot Oath Keepers who will be attending the Lexington Green: If it is permissible, would one of you be willing to place my Oath among those who are doing their Pledge. I can not attend due to family reasons, and lack of funds at this time. I am former Navy, with the heart and soul of a Marine, and my twin brother, Darel L. Sills was Navy and Army, who died in Vietnam. We both fought for the true America, and I be very proud to retake my Oath. If you can do this for me, my gratitude you shall always have. God Bless you all for your faith and Patriotism. Many thanks from Nevada Patriots.

I'm anxiously awaiting information and testimonials from those who attended the muster yesterday in Lexington! My dad was a Marine in the Korean War... the first song I learned completely as a child was The Marines Hymn... all the verses! I have been so disheartened by the state of our nation but feel such pride and hope in this movement! God bless each and every one of you!!

Get your pride ready Renee cause it was a huge success at Lexington. It was well planned and executed with very informative speakers and a highly patriotic atmosphere. I would estimate 500 to 600 people attended this event. Glad I made the 4 hour trek from LI, NY.

There was a Gathering of Eagles Today
April 19 2009

As I stepped on the hallowed ground at Lexington Green today I was reminded that today I walked among heroes. I stood in awe of our history here in this place as I imagined the British soldiers marching from over here and the Lexington militia forming over there. After a volley of fire from both sides 8 of America’s finest lay dead here where I stand today. As the Shot Heard Round the World rang out and the British moved out to Concord, the ranks of the militia swelled. The battle began again in Concord and did not end until the British had been pushed back to their stronghold of Charlestown. As I stand here today I am reminded of the cost in lives and blood we owe our freedom.
As I stood here today and reaffirmed my oath to the Constitution of the United States of America and watched my son recite the oath for the first time, I think of the blood and sacrifice it took to get this far and what it will take to keep this great experiment of America moving forward.
