Below is the video testimonial of Chauncey Normandin, an Army veteran and retired Massachusetts police Captain with 27 years of service under his belt (now retired to Florida).

We met Chauncey for the first time over the weekend of April 18 and 19 when we all gathered for the Committees of Safety and Oath Keepers muster on the Lexington Green. Chauncey was key in arranging the presence of a Lexington police detail to ensure that the gathering on the Green was not disturbed. At this critical stage of our young organization, we also benefited from Chauncey's sage advice and hard learned wisdom (learned by means of the school of hard knocks). He is a key organizer of the Defenders Motorcycle Club, which is a club for current and former police officers that is growing fast.

In the above video Chauncey speaks about the importance of the oath - about how its not enough to be just an oath taker, you have to also be an Oath Keeper - and why he has joined Oath Keepers. He also states the sad truth that the biggest reason we are where we are today as a country is because our parents, and then we too, were so focused on making ends meet and making a living that we did not pay enough attention to our Republic, and we have nearly lost it. But, as he says, we can still turn it around.

Chauncey Normandin is what a police officer should be, and we are honored that he has joined us. Dave Freeman and I look forward to his active participation in Oath Keepers, both in Florida and nationally, and we will greatly value his advice as we plot our course.

As he said, "if we all do nothing more than fulfill our oath, then we can turn things around just on that alone." Well said.

Active Duty Texas Peace Officer Calls on Others to "Wake up"

Dear Brothers in Arms,

Before I start, I'd like to say this. Before you start laughing, making jokes and thinking all of this is funny, think about why this site would even be created? One lone kook? I think not. Look up interviews with former
government personnel. Also look up Jack McLamb, the most decorated Peace Officer in Phoenix PD (AZ) history. He runs Police and Military Against The New World Order.

I took an oath to the Constitution. Not the government, not the president (whoever that may be from time to time), not my chief, not my sergeant, not the media, not the pundits, not the "think tanks", and certainly not the UN. Just google anything related to infowars, mass coffins, bird flu/baxter, CFR, NWO, gun control, home gardens, the movie 'The Obama Deception', taxes, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, ex Stasi/KGB and homeland security, and I could go on and on. The thing is if you think that the mainstream media, the current gov., or status quo has ANYTHING to do with real freedom, following the Constitution, or empowering mankind, you are simply ignorant. Research what I mentioned above.

It is easy to go along with things. It takes maturity to research the facts, the lies, the half truths, the spin, the misconceptions, and the misrepresentations. At that point your soul will feel understanding and while it may feel scary, you will also begin to go down the rabbit hole to real freedom and understanding. To those who think global government is a good idea. What happens when bad people get into power, then where do you go? Right...Nowhere. The LAST thing I want to do is drop my badge in the dirt, pick up and chamber my rifle in anger, sadness, and disgust that more people chose not to wake up in time and it has hence become physical conflict.

But supporting tyranny and oppression will NEVER be on my list of accolades. To do so, even for my safety, is pure cowardice, dishonorable immaturity, and would be akin to willfully declaring myself a true domestic enemy of We The People.

For anyone in military or peace officer work, I plead with people quick to criticize this website to look at 'that other side' (our side,...the patriot/Constitutional side) and see if we're telling the truth and to see if you have been in fact, lied to. I would much rather fight this thing with
words. I wish the best for you all and hope that we can unite in the greatest common cause, individual human Freedom.

Wake up all you know...while you still can.

Active Duty Police Officer and Retired Navy Veteran

After serving in the Navy from 90 to 93 on board the USS Blue Ridge I became a Police Officer and Im still on the force.

Not only will I refuse any unlawful order that violates the Constitution I will fight the tyrants that give the orders.

Rest assured that me and my brothers in Law Enforcement talk about this subject on a regular basis. About 80% feel the same way I do.

I ask the "rookies" that when it comes down to the "nut cutting" who's side will you be on, the founding fathers who made this Country so great or the tyrants that are in power now? I took the Oath twice and will uphold it two fold.

A debt of gratitude is owed to all who have served,I am the son of a deceased army ranger, What is it going to Be Freedom or Fascism Fascism is a radical, authoritarian nationalist ideology that aims to create a single-party state with a government led by a dictator who seeks national unity and development by requiring individuals to subordinate self-interest to the collective interest of the nation.

Oathkeepers, I served in the USAF and got out on a General Discharge under Honorable Conditions because an ex-Marine retread didn't follow orders and he blamed me for getting caught. I'll never trust authority again.

But nonetheless, I swore an oath to uphold and defend the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic, and I have never been released from that oath --nor would I accept any release if I had. I'm with you all the way.

I'll help any way I can.

Oath Keepers Update and SITREP

"O.K."!

The response to Oath Keepers has been amazing and also a bit overwhelming, with thousands of hits each day, hundreds of emails, and multiple invitations to appear on talk radio shows - all for a blog that has only existed for a week! We take that as a good sign that we have struck a chord, and that we were correct in our assessment that there was a need for this effort.

We are extremely grateful, honored, and humbled by the incredible response from the many wonderful veterans, current military, and other patriotic citizens who have stepped up to offer a hand, and for the trust you have placed in us by your willingness to sign your names or otherwise openly associate with this effort. We only hope that we are up to the task.

We do feel in our hearts that this effort has the potential to change history for the better and to forestall or even prevent this nation from ever experiencing the horrors that plagued so many other nations in the 20th Century. We are convinced that it is not too late, that there can be a turning of the tide - if we (and that means you too!) can reach enough of our brothers in arms and remind them of their oath, teach them more about what it is they swore to defend, and steel their resolves to stand firm if/when their oath is tested. We feel honor bound to do all we possibly can to achieve that mission.

To paraphrase General Washington yet again, the fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this Army - and this Marine Corps, This Air Force, This Navy and the National Guard units of these sovereign states.

This effort can have a tremendous impact on that courage and conduct.

It's success depends on you.

In addition to you doing your part to spread the word and contribute your testimonials, we welcome any suggestions you may have on how to improve Oath Keepers and how to best spread the message. This is an effort that by all rights should be driven largely by you, our fellow Oath Keepers.

What Are We Doing Now and Next?

We are in the midst of building a professional site that will be at www.oathkeepers.org. this blog will continue even after the main site is up and will serve as the permanent blog for Oath Keepers (acessable both here at blogspot and through the main site). We are also considering the addition of a discussion forum at the main site.

We orginally were going to wait until that site was finished before unveiling Oath Keepers, but recent events prompted us to bump up the timeline by starting this blog. Still, we had no idea the response would be so dramatic.

We are also busy filming some video testimonials and othe short films for posting on youtube and elsewhere, which can be used by you to spread the message.

And we have a major outreach effort we are about to launch that will likely have its own stand-alone website. It will be both controvercial (very!) and ambitious, and will require some serious fundraising to make it viable, so we will likely apply some of the grass-roots fundraising tactics that worked so well for the Ron Paul campaign moneybomb efforts, such as dedicated fundraising websites and videos.

But regardless of whether that pans out, we will still go forward and do all we can, with whatever resources are at hand. And we hope to design most of our outreach efforts so you can directly take part, with no need to spend a dime - just your time and effort.

Suffice it to say we will be incredibly busy over the next couple of weeks. However, while we work as fast as we can, we will still be posting Oath Keeper testimonials, and a few other items as they seem appropriate. In addition, the editor of S.W.AT. Magazine, Denny Hansen, has given use pemission to post some articles by Stewart Rhodes that were orignially published in S.W.AT. Magazine. Those articles touch on the three-pronged mission of Oath Keepers:

1. Remind them of their oath;

2. Teach them more about what they swore to defend so they will be better able to see when an order violates the Constitution and the rights of the people, and is thus unlawful;

3. Steel their resolve to take a stand and do the right thing, whatever the cost.

As one of our core group members put it, our mission is to "reach, teach, and inspire" all who took the oath. The testimonials are a powerful part of that effort, and the video testimonials, especially those by combat veterans, will be vital to our success.

We hope you find the testimonials and the S.W.A.T. Magazine articles valuablee to your own committment to keep your oath and in your efforts to reach others. And within the next week or so you can expect to see new videos, the addition of the professional site, and the announcement of some powerful outreach efforts.

Oath Keepers is not militia movement, per se, it’s a declaration of dedication to support and defend the supreme law of our land: the U.S. Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. It’s a group of patriotic men and women seeking to remind fellow citizens of their profound obligations to God and country.

A fellow trusted friend, a genuine patriot, an Oath Keeper, asked me to describe or define what my sworn oath mean to me and I told him: “Any oath [or vow] that I have ever taken is a “Blood Oath” and it’s irrevocable.” It coincides with the Devine admonition: “Defend the truth, even unto death.” The signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged: “Their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor;” can we do any less?

My combined public service as a U.S. Army soldier; Deputy Sheriff; Police Sergeant and Special Deputy Marshal Court Services Officer totals 38 plus years. The oaths I swore during the commission of these offices all had these profound words in common: “…I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…so help me God!

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s:

There was no confusion by the Centurion [In the book of Luke] about his duty to the lawful authority of the state government and his faithful acknowledgement of God’s supreme authority. Romans Chapter 13: 3 – “Rulers are not a cause of fear to good conduct, but to evil. Do you wish to have no fear of authority? Then do what is good and you will receive approval from it. For it is a servant of God for your good. But if you do evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword without purpose; it is the servant of God to inflict wrath on the evildoer.”

Just like the Centurion, I am subject to authority and God’s authority reigns supreme. Through prayer, we are granted discernment to determine between righteousness and sin. Next to salvation, free will is the second greatest gift bestowed man. Throughout human history, there are countless examples of sinful and evil regimes and my mind can’t conceive that God endorsed any of them. To my recollection they were all judged for their sins and met their demise.

Psalm Chapter 27: “The Lord is my light and my salvation, of whom should I be afraid?” Anyone that would tell you lies or seek to intimidate you is not God’s servant. Be vigilant; be on your guard, because they are “Legion” and bat for the other team!

As a Deputy Sheriff/Police Officer I suggested to the Under Sheriff that we adopt the following motto and emblazon it on all our police vehicles: “Pledged to a Sacred Oath” I wanted the citizens that we served to be assured that we were men and women of honor pledged to protect them and the constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Disappointingly, the hierarchy replied that we all ready had a motto [the generic] “To protect and serve.”

Many years ago, I stood in awe at the foot of the “Minuteman” statue at Concord Bridge, Massachusetts. I must tell you it was a soulful experience. Make it a point to go there and stand in the presence of that memorial and reflect on the brave souls that stopped tyranny on that fateful day: April 19, 1775. These patriots rallied to the wisdom of Samuel Adams when he said:

“It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”
