My oath of enlistment was taken proudly and solemnly. I never regarded it as a mere obligation; I regarded it as a privilege. I still hold myself bound to those words I spoke nearly thirty years ago.

I will FOREVER hold myself bound to them.

As a former Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy and Staff Sergeant in the Illinois Army National Guard, I am honored to pledge my support to Oath Keepers and stand in the ranks with true patriots.

I know what the Oath means to me and my family

I grew up in a house where I saw my father put on his uniform every Monday night for years and go to Reserve drills. Then when I turned 17 I joined the Naval Reserve while I was still in high school. After high school I did my active duty with MCB 7 doing one tour in Spain and one tour in Nam. After my active duty was over I stayed in the reserve and did several training duties with my father before he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. I stayed on and retired also as a Chief petty Officer. So I know what the Oath means to me and my family.

I will honor the Oath

1. I will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. I will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people.

3. I will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. I will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.

5. I will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. I will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. I will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. I will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control."

9. I will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.

10 I will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

I am stationed in San Diego, Ca and I take the oath listed above.
I took another oath when I joined the military, to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.
I will honor that even if it is done away with.

ex-Navy Machinist Mate 2nd Class, and I have not set aside my Oath, nor
shall I.

The times we are in will test our foundational beliefs and resolve.
This blogspot is an awesome way to spread the word and remind each other
of our shared values, and our promise to defend the document which
codifies our freedoms.

If you are interested, I have drafted an official petition for redress
of grievances to the federal government, that I can send. The more that
we can get to sign on, the better.

Count me in as an Oath Keeper.

I committed to the oath five times while serving my country and never felt that it didn't apply to me as a private citizen. Upon retiring from the U.S. Navy I had more time available to become a better informed and engaged citizen in this blessed experiment of "self-government" provided by our inspired Founders. This lead to a renewed search for truth, and began a process of self-education involving the Constitution and the principles of good government.

Some of the issues I studied were on the Dark Side: the Randy Weaver case, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the Branch-Davidian Massacre, the deception behind the United Nations, the Federal Reserve Act, the Bilderberg Group, the Tri-Lateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations, The Royal Institute for International Affairs, The Skull and Bones Society, The Bohemian Club, the JFK assassination and the resulting Warren Commission cover-up, and the 9/11 Commission white-washing to name a "few".

On the Light Side (as in "Truth and Light"): I found the John Birch Society, Ezra Taft Benson, Jews for the Preservation of Gun Ownership (JPFO), The Gunowners of America, Boston T. Party (Kenneth Royce), Bill Cooper, Michael New, Devvy Kidd, Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr., W. Cleon Skousen, Pastor Chuck Baldwin, Alex Jones, Ron Paul and the Campaign for Liberty, AZ state legislator Karen Johnson, and many more people who were engaged in fighting for the cause of liberty.

However, in the back of my mind one element seemed missing, yet I couldn't identify it until I heard about a group that expressed the term.... OATH KEEPERS!

To all the Oath Keepers I say, "Be courageous. Be true to yourself. Stay the course."

The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
