I am a Vietnam veteran who served in country in 1970-71 and I to took an oath to defend our Constitution. I am a serve connected disable Vet. rated at 70% and I have been declared totally and completely disabled by the VA, but I am still ready to defend our Constitution, but sadly I can find no one or no group who is doing anything other than speaking words. There are no groups marching in protest. They are simply on the internet making claims that they do not seem to follow up on and it saddens me. It appears to me that they are asking for donations from us while they are doing nothing. Show me your true colors first then I might donate as I will not give any money for just words. Words without action are soundless and have no meaning.

Welcome aboard Sgt Buckey.

We are proud to have you stand with us.

The DHS was the reason I resigned my commission in the Merchant Marine, so I can identify with your statement entirely.

Reach, Teach and Inspire is the current task at hand.
Let us Hope that it never gets beyond that But let us be prepared in case it does.

I would refer you to the public statements and events that Oath Keepers has held or attended since March of this year when it was founded.
Knoxville,TN
Lexington,MA
Bozeman, MT
Radio programs and interviews too numerous to list here.

If on the other hand what you are expecting is some sort of action then you are definitely in the wrong place.
Oath Keepers is about refusing to dishonor our Oath taken to the Constitution and about teaching oath takers the responsibilities that they have sworn to accept.
IF and When the fools in the positions of power attempt to enact any of the 10 Orders that we have sworn to Not Obey then and only then will we be forced to respond "in kind".

Please read [If you have not] our Orders we will Not Obey and the Principles of Our Republic We Are Sworn to Defend as well as the We are Not List.

We are Not a fly by night militia group seeking to start ANYTHING.
If that is what you are looking for you are in the wrong place.

I am going to quote In Full the statement on our front page at the old blogspot site.

"Oath Keepers is an association of currently serving military, veterans, and peace officers who will fulfill the oath we swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial.

We Oath Keepers have drawn a line in the sand. We will not “just follow orders."

Our motto is “Not on our watch!”

If you, the American people, are forced to once again fight for your liberty in another American Revolution, you will not be alone. We will stand with you.

There is at this time a debate within the ranks of the military regarding their oath. Some mistakenly believe they must follow any order the President issues. But you can rest assured that many others in the military do understand that their loyalty is to the Constitution, and understand what that means.

The mission of Oath Keepers is to vastly increase our numbers. We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our own troops. To win that battle, Oath Keepers will use written and video testimony of active duty military, veterans (especially combat vets), and peace officers to reach, teach, and inspire our brothers in arms in the military and police to fulfill their oaths and stand as guardians of the Republic."

I hope this answers your questions.
