I took an oath to uphold, honor and preserve the US Constitution on two occasions: when I was inducted into the Army and when I became a lawyer

My name is Stevan Douglas Looney. I live and work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am a veteran of the US Army, where I was an infantry soldier ( 11 Bravo) from 1970 to 1972. After completing jump school at Fort Benning, Georgia, I was assigned to the 82nd Arbn Div. at Fort Bragg, NC. I was honorably discharged in March 1972.

I am a lawyer admitted to the Bar of New Mexico, the US Supreme Court, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the US Tax Court and the US District Court for the District of New Mexico. I have been practicing law for nearly 30 years.

I took an oath to uphold, honor and preserve the United States Constitution on two occasions: when I was inducted into the Army and when I became a lawyer. I took the oath very seriously on those occasions and I continue to take it very seriously today. My father was retired military and was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Two of my brothers served in the military. (My older brother surely would have too, but polio made that impossible for him.) I come from a family dedicated to the preservation of our Constitutional Republic. They, like I, have sworn to defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I have studied the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Federalist Papers and the teachings of many political and economic thinkers, and much, much more.

Based upon my many years of study of the economic (including "money" and taxation), political and social conditions and forces at work in our country (and internationally), I am convinced that the greatest threat to our liberties and natural G-d given rights as recognized by the national Constitution and the state Constitutions, is from domestic enemies presently, and heretofore, ensconced in Congress, the Judiciary, the Executive, the mainstream media, the board rooms of supranational corporations, and particularly, the central banking system called the federal reserve in the US. Indeed, to me the root of all that ails us is to be found in the unconstitutional monetary and tax system and in international central banking.

My political and economic ideology and points of view are best depicted in the works of Edwin Vieira (Pieces Of Eight, Crash Maker, and his work on revitalization the Constitutional Militia), G. Edward Griffin (The Creature From Jekyll Island, Freedomforce), David Ray Griffin (exposing the contradictions in the official conspiracy theory of 9/11), among others. Putting my name into a search engine will yield some of the work I have been involved in, including pro bono work testifying before the New Mexico Legislature to impeach Bush and Cheney, seeking to ban the distribution of products in New Mexico containing aspartame, and seeking to protect the civil rights of persons who have been subjected to violations of their civil rights, e.g., Timothy "Little Rock" Reed and Ernest Garcia. I am also one of the founders of Veterans for 9/11 Truth. www.v911t.org

Time and space do not permit me to elaborate further here. Suffice it to say in closing that I will never in my personal or professional capacity knowingly and intentionally take any action that deprives any person of his or her G-d given and Constitutionally recognized rights, nor will I follow any order or direction that instructs me to do so, regardless of the source.

I pledge my support to We The People, the true, moral, ethical and lawful source of legitimate governmental power and authority.

Staying true regardless of consequences

In 1962 at the ripe old age of 17yrs, I convinced my mother that military service was more important than school and she relented and signed for me to enlist in the army. I still remember taking the oath in Cleveland, OH. It was the proudest moment of my life. My intention was to make a career of the Army.

After basic I was sent to the First Infantry Division at Fort Riley Kansas. Because of the racial tensions at that time we started training for riot control. I was shocked as was my fellow soldiers to what the government
(DOD) expected us to do to control the American people in a time of riots or rebellion.
We were told that we risked prison if we didn't follow "Orders". We agreed that some of those "Orders" would NOT be obeyed by any of us against our own people even if it meant prison.
We all felt that we enlisted to protect the American people. So I know what the government is capable of. I chose not to reenlist in 1965 but I have never forgotten what Washington expected of the military. I truly loved the Army and I am proud of my service to my country but I joined to be a Patriot not a Traitor. I am just about the same size now and keep myself in good condition and I do keep and bear arms and ammunition because I understood that someday I might have to fight the very ones who would have me harm Americans.

God Bless America and God Bless The Oath Keepers!

I took and still take my oath of office to heart

I am a retired US Army AH-1 Cobra Pilot and combat veteran. Please count me in. I am sickened at what the republicrats have done to this great nation. I am even more sickened at what this Marxist is apparently planning, and I have no intention of allowing it as long as God allows me to breath His air.

I took and still take my oath of office to heart.

Dear Oath Keepers,

I commend you for your efforts to bring those who have ever sworn an oath to protect, serve, and defend the Constitution of these United States together. I pray that this organization will awaken those, who have taken the oath, to the fact that their oath is important and must be kept for the sake of America’s sovereignty. Let us keep reaching out and letting them know that they do not stand alone!

I, for one, take my oath very serious. Seventeen years ago, as a young man just out of high school, I made that oath with hand raised and proud heart. The decision to join the Army was something I saw as my duty. I knew what I wanted to do and I did it. However, I did not truly understand what my oath fully meant or how important it was at the time. Like many, I thought my service was to uphold ANY order (without question) given by the Commander-In-Chief and those officers that are subordinate to that position. If I only knew then what I know now (how many times have we said that?), things would have been very different.

Even though I did not consciously lead based on the specifics of the Constitution, looking back, I indeed stood on its principals of liberty. I took my oath as a Non-Commissioned Officer very serious as well and learned quickly that if you intend to play the part get ready for some resistance. When you stand on righteous principals, you will get attacked for it eventually. Many times I stood face-to-face with opposing principals when defending my rights and the rights of my soldiers’. It is interesting how individuals and groups will resist what is right when they know they are in the wrong. It wasn’t fun facing them and I honestly did not like it, but I did it anyway, because it was the right thing to do.

My career brought me face-to-face with many things; some good and some bad, all learning experiences. From Korea, Germany, Bosnia, Croatia and Stateside, I did what I was told and I served honorably. I have an obligation to the Constitution and I intend to keep it! I will not allow political corruption to corrupt me! Count me in! Let us resist all enemies of the Constitution of these United States!

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Mr. Edwin McKinney

My Duty to Keep My Country Safe

I served my country in two different branches of the service. First was the Army. After I had been out a while and heard on the news that the Navy was having trouble getting enough men to enlist to have a full crew for one of the Aircraft Carriers so I joined again.

I believed then and still do that it was my duty to keep my country safe.
I would like to join your fine organization if you will tell me what I must do.

Thank you for your time.

Disabled Army Veteran is True to His Oath

My name is Richard Mears. I served in the US Army for seven and a half years. I was injured in a non-combat incident in May of 2003, at Balad, Iraq. I was forced to take a medical discharge and leave the military. I wish that I was still in. I would take this pledge in a heartbeat, without a second thought. Maybe we need another pledge. A pledge by American citizens to stand up and actually fight back if orders are passed down along the lines of what is in the pledge.

I, for one, will not sit down or lay down, nor stand idly by, if and when freedoms are taken away from Americans. I will fight. I will stand.

Never Give Up

I think I took my first oath in 1956 when I joined the Navy. Was an airdale, flying ecm missions over the North Atlantic. Then again when I enlisted in the Army and then numerous times with re-enlistments. Did eight years active and 20+ in the active reserve retiring in '96.

Also took the oath when I became a police officer retiring with 25 years.
I have always considered that oath sacred and will stand with others to defend it.

Heritage of Oathkeepers

Sir:

My ancestors (5 brothers) came to this country in 1763 and fought in the Revolutionary war, their descendants including myself and my son Capt. Michael A. Valentine U.S. Army, have fought in every conflict this country has ever been involved in.

I swore my oath 4 days after my 17th Birthday March 20th 1958, although I did not leave for Basic training till July.

I served from 1958-1967 and was discharged on partial disability. I have been totally disabled since 1978.

The oath I swore is binding as long as I have breath.

Army and Air Force Veteran knows what he fought against

Add my name to those who will keep their oath to defend the Constitution and the Republic!

While I am 74 years old 21 years of that were spent in the Army and Air Force and I can still fire any weapon with accuracy!

My greatest fear is that the American people will not wake up to the galloping Socialism/Communism that is now entrenched in the government until it is too late.

If they do not turn things around in the next 2 elections we will be faced with an armed revolution or to living under the type government most of us have fought against all our lives.

It is good to see organizations like Oath Keepers stepping up! God Bless!
