I am a retired lieutenant colonel from the Marine Corps Reserve. While no longer in a position to receive orders that I will not obey, I fully support the oath. My loyalty was always to the Constitution, not to any individual, political party, or even the geographic area known as the United States.
I believe in fighting for, and defending the freedom that our Founding Fathers purchased for us at so great a price. I am glad to see that in these days, when I believe that our freedoms are threatened by politicians from both major political parties as never before, that many of the people the government would rely on to extinguish those freedoms are swearing an oath to never carry out orders to do so.
I fully support your efforts and if push should ever come to shove, would stand shoulder to shoulder with you to defend the principles that our country was founded upon.
Jack Reynolds, Lt. Col. U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.)
Why were the Oath Keepers silent as the Supreme Court allowed warrantless wiretapping of Americans under Bush and obsolescence of the 4th and 5th amendments with Herring v United States? Your oath 2. was destroyed before Obama was in the White House and you didn't care.
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteWe weren't silent. We have been speaking out and living our Oaths for decades. You just started listening, that's all. Our Oaths will never be destroyed. Bush violated his Oath to the Constitution and Obama has promised to violate his own. This is about the Constitution, not a man.
To Lt. Col. Reynolds,
Thanks for your service and testimony. Sorry your post got trolled.
