Testimonial of John Mitchel, LtCol, USAF (Ret)

Please add me to the list of veterans, police officers, firemen and other public servants who have reaffirmed their oath to defend those individual rights guaranteed by our founding documents.

I consider my oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic" to be a lifelong commitment, and even though I am no longer on active duty, I am obligated to stand with the people whenever local, state or federal governments act to undermine those self-evident rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as enumerated in the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Very respectfully,

John Mitchel
LtCol, USAF (Ret)

Even Honduras Supreme Court and Military was smart enough to get there president out before he turned them communist and we are further alone then them. What has happened to the people here. GOD HELP US.

Ditto for me. I served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard, and took a similar oath when I became a police officer. I fear the day will come when those oaths are tested and we will find out who really understands the significance of the oath. On what side will the active duty members of the U.S. Military Services fall? Will they follow the part of the oath that demands they protect and defend the Constitution or the part that demands they obey the orders of the President? That's the big question.

LtCol Mitchel,

Elias here - BAR, your question is one which may be answered only by each man individually. And it is of course a very important question. It truly is, as you said, "the big question".

But to the fully-awakened, to those who've taken advantage of many deep readings into American history, and to those who've looked closely into the hidden or suppressed history, the answer to your question is routinely available as an aspect of the patriot's vision -

The answer is simple, Bro -

The answer is itself best revealed in yet another "big question" -

Which came first, the Constitution, or the President?

Salute!
Elias

Elias,

I teach at a local high school once a week as a volunteer. You may or may not be aware of the revisionist history that has been slipped into textbooks over the past two decades. I have to sit down with my son and point out errors and outright lies in the texts. Needless to say, he's had a few run-ins with teachers over the issues.

When I was in high school many, many moons ago, we studied "Civics" and "American History." The three branches of government, Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights were studied in detail. I'm afraid that many of those youngsters in the military really don't have a clue regarding these issues.

I spoke with a fellow Army vet, recently discharged after service in both current theaters and posed the question to him. "Do you think the current batch of troops would support the Constitution or follow the orders of the President, even if those orders were in direct contravention of the Constitution?" He told me he believes that most would follow the President's orders.

Needless to say, that caused me great concern.

And happens to be one of the reasons for the Oath Keepers organization as founded by Stewart Rhodes.

If we as veterans and actively serving members can enlighten our brothers and sisters and they then enlighten more ....

Truly an organization that is timely and relevant.
Reach, Teach and Inspire.

Reach out to all of our fellow Oath takers and ...

Teach them if they didn't know or have "forgotten" the responsibilities we agreed to when we swore that Oath.

To Inspire all oath takers to become Oath Keepers is our real goal.
Inspire all of our Active Duty or Reserve Military and Active Duty or Reserve Peace Officers to Keep the Oath they swore and to refuse to Obey any unlawful order no matter the source of that order.
