Rumblings of Outrage: DHS Continues to Tick Off Combat Veterans

The recently disclosed Department of Homeland Security report on "rightwing extremism " that taints veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq as potential terrorists is really ticking off both active duty and veterans. Go here to read a Veterans Today article about it, and here to read the American Legion's letter in response.

And that outrage has not subsided. Below are more videos that have been posted on youtube by veterans responding to the DHS smear.

First up, is the active duty combat arms soldier who sounded off, amazed and outraged that he is considered a threat, and reminding the DHS personnel that they took the same oath that he did, to defend the Constitution. We have posted this before, but it sets up the responses by the veterans, who were responding specifically to this active duty soldier's video:

In response to that, the following Army veteran builds on the above soldier's statement by pointing out that DHS and the elites it serves consider veterans a threat precisely because all veterans swore an oath to defend the Constitution:

And below is a former Army Staff Sergeant, a paratrooper and combat veteran who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq until just last year, adding his well considered, but rather colorfull thoughts. Note, his video contains some VERY strong language:

And here is an Army Ranger, Apachegrunt, who just got out of the Army three days before making this video, adding his thoughts. Once again, some very strong language here and this Ranger does not mince words:

"Surrender is not a Ranger word"

Among some other choice and colorful words for the DHS, he points out the fact that his oath is to the Constitution, not to anyone or anything else, and just because his service is ended that doesn't mean his oath is canceled. Toward the end of the video, the Ranger holds up his Soldiers Code card:

SOLDIERS CODE

I. I AM AN AMERICAN SOLDIER – A PROTECTOR OF THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH – SWORN TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

II. I WILL TREAT OTHERS WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT AND EXPECT OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.

III. I WILL HONOR MY COUNTRY, THE ARMY, MY UNIT AND MY FELLOW SOLDIERS BY LIVING THE ARMY VALUES.

IV. NO MATTER WHAT SITUATION I AM IN, I WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR PLEASURE, PROFIT, OR PERSONAL SAFETY WHICH WILL DISGRACE MY UNIFORM, MY UNIT, OR MY COUNTRY.

V. LASTLY, I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY AND IT’S FLAG. I WANT TO LOOK BACK AND SAY THAT I AM PROUD TO HAVE SERVED MY COUNTRY AS A SOLDIER.

Notice what comes first in the Soldiers Code.

And here is another veteran, of the 1st Cavalry Division, who lays out the many different types of people now put on the government's "list" as potential terrorists (he discusses veterans being added to the list at 7:20 of part I):

Part I:

Part II:

We commend these men for standing up and speaking out - speaking truth to power as the left used to like to say.

Note that none of them are part of some "extremist organization" (whatever that means). They are individuals, speaking their own minds, and they are offended and angry and they see that what is really going on is that the DHS considers them a threat simply because they know how to fight and because they swore an oath to defend the Constitution.

With the latest DHS smear document, the Domestic Extremism Lexicon, labelling "constitutionalists" and "patriots" as extremists (which means the same thing as "terrorists"), it is clear that if you dare to support the Constitution, and dare to quote the founding fathers of this nation, and take the Constitution seriously, then you will be considered an "extremist" and a threat to the powers that be among the political elite.

This is the tactic used by all governments that turn oppressive: use vague, broad brushed labeling of people as "enemies of the state" to marginalize them and increase the artificial divide between the people and the police and military, and then use that labeling and marginalization to make people afraid to speak up, to chill their speech, and silence them out of fear of being singled out for persecution. The DHS reports are such broad smears that they basically boil down to "anyone who doesn't agree with us is a potential terrorist." The final stage of persecution is to actually apply all the powers of the state against anyone who does dare to speak out, arresting them on trumped up charges of terrorism, for example. We are still in the smear and marginalization stage, and are also begining the chilling of speach stage, but we can see where this is headed.

But as these veterans point out, the DHS smears of veterans, constitutionalists and patriots is backfiring just as badly as Obama's suggestion that disabled and injured veterans pay for their own medical care. Nothing is waking up the people, and especially the veterans, like these leaked government "reports." This is not Germany, the USSR, or communist China. This is America, and attempts to chill our speech and marginalize us only make us stronger and more resolved to speak out.

JOIN US ON THE WASHINGTON D.C. MALL ON JUNE 13, 2009 FOR A HUGE SUPPORT THE TROOPS RALLY AND OATH KEEPERS "MUSTER ON THE MALL"

Speak out is exactly what we will do on the DC Mall on June 13, 2009 as Oath Keepers holds our muster on the mall, at the invitation of Gathering of Eagles and Pro Troop Events. Go to www.protroopevents.org for more details on that rally.

We still have a relatively strong First Amendment to protect our right to assemby and free speech, and we need to use that powerful tool of peaceful revolution and restoration while we still can. It's time to turn the tide. It's time to stand on the mall in DC and "shout our oaths in the tyrant's face."

It's time for all of us to stand up and speak out. See you on the mall on June 13!

FYI, "Barack" means "lightning" in Hebrew, and "Rahm" a "loud noise or "thunder." Don't know how Mr. E's parents came to that name, it isn't common AFAIK. I found one of the above on my own, and learned the other from a correspondent in .il

"Big cup of shut the f--- up" Probably the most appropriate commentary I've ever heard.

Thank you,guys for speaking up!

Guts and leadership! Hoorah soldiers! Thanks for having the stones to step up and tell it like it is.

Apparently, the Obama white house and Obama run DHS do not trust our military. Hmmmmm, worried they won't just follow orders?

Hooah!

To think a few weeks ago I thought I was the only one who took my oath so seriously. Nice to know I'm not alone.

Thank you all for your service to this great country. I am so glad that there is so many that will keep there oath to the constitution. We have a foreigner from Indonisia in our white house that is planning the distrution of our country, this is why our fore fathers put "natural born" in our documents and I do not understand why with all the law suits that prove this, not one judge will listen. I am 60 years old and I am not going to just sit around and do nothing but it seems like no matter who I write or e-mail they will not listen. I am so tied of everyone in Washington walking all over our constitution. God protect our country and the great Men & Women that have served and is serving in our military and the oath-keepers. God bless you all.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes:

I am afraid for my country. I do not like the fact that the government wants the GPS ordinances to all of our front doors. I have no idea if there is any way to stop what they are doing to us. What can be done?

I am a 73 y/o grandmother and a proud U.S citizen for the past 45 years. My late husband was in the U.S Air Force for nine yrs. My son was in the Navy for 4 yrs. I love this country with a passion but have been grieving for America for quite some time now since I learned of the sinister plan to establish the NWO.
I grew up in England during WWII so I know what Hitler was all about. Many thousands of people considered him to be the "Anti-Christ", and since the bible says there will be many Anti-Christs, then I believe that was true about Hitler. What an evil man! The devil incarnate!
We can't allow the same thing to happen in our beloved country, though there are many who are working hard toward that goal. We must work just as hard to resist. I cannot physically do much because of my age, but I can and do share what I know and learn. Some of my friends think I'm being paranoid, but I tell them that they better get paraniod because this problem is not just going to go away.
Thank all of you young men and women...and even older men and women, who have given so much to this blessed country. You have given me hope and made me feel secure in the knowledge that there are so many patriotic Americans who will and are fighting to defend our constitution. God bless you all and God bless America!

A quote from John Adams:

No, posterity.
You will never know how much it cost us to preserve your freedom. I hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

I read the DHS report as talking more about the Timothy McVeigh's and ex-military that the right-wing militia's bring in--McVeigh was a big fan of the constitution and liberty taking precedence over the gov't (much like what I've read on here). I'm sorry if much of your pro-liberty-anti-government rhetoric jibes with the worst domestic terrorist in our history, but it is something we should watch to make sure no one blows up another federal building.

If anyone, military or no military experience, is going all trim "the tree of liberty" now that the "black", "socialist", "muslim" Obama is in power, they 're clearly out of touch--besides, where were all of you during the warrant-less wiretapping, torture, vote caging, gerrymandering, exposing CIA agents--which is treason--or falsified intelligence? It was just the ACLU and a few patriotic whistle-blowers accompanied by the sound of crickets--no oathkeepers in sight. After 8 years of Bush, your panties are just now getting all twisted based on things Obama's done in his first 100 days, the most egregious of which were all Bush carry-over policies). Suck it up, hooah.

There seems to be a general official terror of veterans, not just in the USA:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1178337/I-let-nice-people-nasty-people-Minister-enrages-Joanna-Lumley-AGAIN-Gurkha-affair-descends-farce.html

Mr Woolas has indeed demonstrated an inability to keep the nasty people out: such as terrorists, east-european slave traders (as if we were in the 17th century!)and so forth.

But warriors who fought for freedom and who have been the terror of tyrants for 200 years? Suddenly, he can slam the doors! If they could stop British-born ex-servicemen living the UK, they probably would.

Check out the second part of the code. Treat others with respect does not include murdering innocent (or guilty) foreigners. The war on terror is a farce and 9/11 was staged by the bankers to reap massive profits off of weapons, and reconstruction. All soldiers are pawns in a global moneychanger game, and any one who kills another for "freedom" is a murderer plain and simple. Stateside, if you have a problem with someone, you sue them, you don't assault or kill them. It is illegal and it is wrong. Just because it is legal to kill in wartime doesn't mean it's not immoral. You are fighting people in caves, are you really that scared for your freedom? Pussies. That's what people are when they've got all the might of the US military and they go pick off civilians. Murderers comprise the military, ignorant misled murderers and all should be brought up on criminal charges. Look up terrorism in the dictionary and you'll see we are the terrorists. Shame on all soldiers for fightig this rich mans war. Oh and where is says not to profit from service in the soldiers code, you all better give back that money for college, or those death benefits, wouldn't want you to gain anything. However the private armedforces, that's a different story. They murder for money, an all you get is PTSD. Shitty people get shitty results. Any miltary personnel that hasn't tortured, killed or raped anyone, get out now, while you can still sleep at night.

Whoa, lots of trolls commenting here now. I bet these critics never risked one iota on themselves for their country. But they like to point the finger at our brave military men and vets. God bless you brave men. These are probably ACORN creeps anyway. I am one grateful lady, an American mother of six.

It is not surprising that DHS is now turning on the very men and women who have served and are currently serving The United States.

It is an egregious affront to those troops who take their oaths to the US Constitution seriously, unlike both our political and business leaders who seem to selectively choose which parts suit them.

However, there is some method to this madness as I have recently found during some research on an article I am writing; though it does not excuse it. Apparently, when soldiers of a nation-state are exposed to long periods of time in environments that are basically stateless, a minority of such troops will actually view such statelessness as an alternative avenue for their aggrandizement. Thus upon returning home they turn to activities that are diametrically opposed to the welfare of their own country.

And as the United States has also increasingly turned to Private Military Organizations to substantially supplement combat operations, US troops are not only being exposed to the statelessness of current conflict environments but are also competing with those troops that are being paid substantially more to risk their lives while not incurring the psychological reinforcement of military discipline in terms of loyalty to the state that employs them.

Researchers are finding that such experiences lead to sociological conversion within those that find such "lawless" environments attractive. As such, this minority of troops begin building the first linkages to both the decline in the military units as more opt out of such service for private duty of the home nation as well as becoming lawless themselves in the guise of mercenaries and "soldiers of fortune".

It should be understood then that the basic problem is not with DHS. The problem is with the politicians who lawlessly send our troops into harm's way for no other reason than to promote American business interests within the guise of foreign policy. And this is exactly what has been happening with every conflict America has engaged in since the inception of this nation (Study the histories of American conflicts and you will find the evidence of this is irrefutable.).

DHS then, is merely an outgrowth of the politicization of the US's reaction to 9-11, which for all intents and purposes was a complete over-reaction from a military point of view. However, it was used to foment and generate policy decisions by people that had no other agendas in mind but their own self-serving interests.

However, in earlier conflicts our troops were engaged primarily with formal opposing military organizations while since the Vietnam War, our troops are being faced increasingly by opponents that are both fluid and dynamic in nature, the basis of what is now being called 4GW.

All veterans and currently serving members of the US Armed Forces that are being unduly "smeared" by this ridiculous sweeping generalized viewpoint by DHS should be writing their representatives both State and Federal, as well as the White House.

If there is one thing these people fear more than anything else, aside from losing all their ill-gotten wealth, is the US military turning on them, which given the present trends in American society today is becoming a real possibility...

One very interesting paper on this subject can be found at the US War College... http://www.carlisle.army.mil/usawc/Parameters/02winter/smith.pdf

For those of you who are not students of history, you should look up the record of General Douglas MacArthur.

In 1932, ignoring the orders of the President of the United States,
MacArthur commanded his troops in Washington DC to attack a large group of assembled UNARMED WW1 vetereans who were seeking to claim war time bonus money. Hundreds of these war heroes were injured and several killed in a cavalry charge. These were armed USA soldiers attacking their brethren citizens.

If a similar day does arise, will our modern day soldiers obey their orders? I suspect they will.

Will I defend the oath I took so long ago? Yes, always! But this simple question remains for me and should also for every one of you.

What will you do when your adversary wears the uniform of the United States America?

It truly is a question I hope we never have to answer.

Once, the BBC made a documentary about the Briitsh Army Staff College at Camberly.

The CO at the time was General Kitson, author of Britain's success in the Mau Mau and Malayan wars. They asked him, mindful that the then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, was cheerfully using large numbers of policemen against strikers and demonstrators, whether he would be prepared to order British Soldiers to suppress such demonstrations.

He immediate and unambiguous response: "any government that needs the army to protect it from its own people, isn't worth protecting." Since when, successive British Governments, Tory and Labour, have chiddled away at military budgets whilst building up the numbers, powers and increasingly, the armaments, of the police, especially the Metropolitian Police Service.

It would seem that the British Government sees the police as more likely to kill innocent members of the public on their behalf than the army! Indeed, at the recent G20 "riots" the Metropolitan Police managed to select the only innocent bystander, a Mr Tomlinson, in a crowd of demonstrators, and they killed him.

Remember, too, George Orwell's words of approval for the former tradition of British power always being enforced by a "whacking great navy": "There is no such thing as a Naval Dictatorship."

Over the subsequent sixty years, the Royal Navy's budget has experienced firm downwards pressure.

The Constitution gives the government the right to and the task to "count" the people every ten years.
It does not say anything about allowing the census takers to ask any question that is not "How many people live at this address ?"

IF You own the property whereon you live you have every right to restrict access to that property.

To my, admittedly, limited knowledge No one has been jailed or "fined" for refusing to answer the census.
IF there is a legal requirement to answer the census it would be the number of people at that particular address. Period.
Nothing else is mentioned in the Constitution.

I would not worry about the census takers using GPS's while compiling their information.
After all several options for imaging from satellites will locate your house or building very easily. Some have magnification sufficient to be able to read a license plate.... from orbit.

1. No one at Oath Keepers made any complaints during the previous administration ?

Wrong.
The organization Oath Keepers wasn't formed BUT nearly all of the original members were actively writing letters, sending emails and vociferously denouncing the previous THREE administrations.
Oath Keepers is NOT about Left or Right wing or the racial heritage of anyone which you allude to in your post. Oath Keepers is about Honoring [Keeping] our Oath to support and defend the Constitution and Not obeying unlawful orders thereby.

{Read here: www.stewart-rhodes.blogspot.com }

2. Oath Keepers are not seeking to start any wars or to overthrow any government local, State or National which McVeigh was attempting to do.

Oath Keepers understand that IF all of the people throughout the government were to begin to actually honor their oath to support and defend the Constitution there would be no need for confrontation at all.

It would seem from your comments that you think Oath Keepers is based on something other than an Oath sworn before God and each other to support and defend the Constitution, it's Bill of Rights and the People of these united States.
It is Not based on anything else.

I am an Army MP veteran and I took the oath back in '91, it was administered by my father who was a Major in the Air Force at the time. He put 37 yrs in the military and spent 2 tours in Vietnam and worked at the Pentagon during 9/11. He recently passed away while working at the Pentagon so I hold the oath even more dearly as it was given to my father also.

I think there is too much worry here about what the government might do to suppress individual rights. I would be willing to be that none of you can provide any real instances of where your rights have been infringed. Have you been jailed unjustly? Have your guns been taken away? Have you been prevented from speaking your mind? Despite all the loose talk about such things, I bet you cannot provide real examples.

*sigh*

And You Sirrah have not been paying attention to the real world outside of what the propaganda ministers feed you on Television.
To quote John Prine .... "Blow up your TV ..."

For myself, The DHS took away my career when they required that I become an unpaid DHS informant/snitch or lose my ability to work in my chosen profession. [This was in 2006 when they took over the Merchant Marine from the Coast Guard.]
I laughed in their faces and resigned my commission in the US Merchant Marine after 25 years as a Licensed Ship Master with a blemish free record.
[AND still physically and mentally fit enough to continue working for at least another 10 or 20 years.]

As for others let me start you out with this link [ www.cato.org/raidmap/ ]
and from there If you will google "rights violations" you just Might be enlightened.

Then there are the returning veterans who are having their Second Amendment protected Right to Keep and Bear arms taken away without any hearings or adjudication at all. Which violates several Amendments. [2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.]
[And to answer your unspoken question No we are Not a Second Amendment centered organization.]

There are too many instances of rights violations to even list Just the "Categories" here on our blog.

Do some research of your own.
However, Do make it a priority because the "impostor gangster government" we have in Washington seems bound and determined to force itself and its vision of fascism down our collective throats.

Then after you have found a bunch of leads to real "incidents" learn to think and analyze the "news" for yourself instead of just accepting the pablum put out by the propaganda ministers commonly referred to as the MSM.[Main Stream Media]
